Dr. Dennis M. Mahan was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He attended State University of New York at Stony Brook and following graduation he attended University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia. After earning his DMD degree, Dr. Mahan received a commission in the United States Navy.
In the Navy, Dr. Mahan served as a general dentist for 6 years before entering the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at University of Illinois Chicago and Northwestern University. During his career he has provided dental care from the Great Lakes to the Arabian Gulf and even to the South Pole. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of oral surgery with special focus on dental implants and orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Mahan has been in Jacksonville for more than 10 years at the Naval Air Station where he recently retired after 30 years in the Navy. Happy to call Jacksonville and St. Augustine his home, he has entered into private practice with Jax Multispecialty Dental Center.
As a dedicated husband and father of 2. Dr. Mahan has many interests outside of his oral surgery specialty, he also enjoys kayaking and fishing.

Dr. Annette Lorenzo graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Camaguey and earned her dental degree in 2001. After that, Dr. Lorenzo completed a two-year program for Advanced Education in General Dentistry at University of Rochester, and a one-year General Practice Residency training at Rochester General Hospital, NY. She then received a specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics after successfully completing her residency at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics.
Dr. Lorenzo stays up-to-date on the latest orthodontic treatment modalities and continues to learn by participating in continuing education courses yearly. She is an active member of several organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and the Florida Dental Association. She has also been involved in various community health outreach programs to provide dental care for underserved populations in the U.S., Cuba and Venezuela.

Dr. Allison Johnston, Pediatrics
Dr. Johnston grew up in Wilmington, NC and attended North Carolina State University. As a Caldwell Scholar, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biological Sciences and a minor in Psychology. She had the honor of being awarded membership in Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa honor fraternities.
Her passion for working with children and love of science led to her decision to become a pediatric dentist. She completed dental school at the University of Florida Dental School in 2011 and became a Gator fan for life. After dental school, she attended the University of Minnesota for specialty training in pediatric dentistry.
Outside of the office you can find her hanging out with her dogs, cheering on the Gators and enjoying time in the wonderful Florida weather.
Dr. Brian Young, Periodontics
Dr. Young was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where he attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies. His interest in dentistry began at an early age, since both his grandfather and father are general dentists. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree and his specialty training in periodontics and implant dentistry at the University of Florida. Dr. Young also completed a Master of Science degree at the University of Florida.
Dr.Young is a full time periodontist, he previously practiced at Jacksonville Periodontics and Implant Dentistry and is now working in over ten dental offices of excellence in the greater Jacksonville area. He upholds current licensure in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and conscious sedation, which he holds a permit for in the state of Florida.
Dr. Young is currently involved with coordinating care for the underserved population of Jacksonville. He is the recipient of the American Dental Association award related to his commitment to this cause. Recently he was inducted as a Pierre Fauchard Academy Fellow. He is on the editorial review board for the dental implant circulation Implant Practice US. Dr. Young has also served on the advisory Board of Jacksonville Dental Society as President (2007-2011) and the advisory board for North Florida Doctors.
Dr. Young is now involved in a progressive periodontal, dental implant and bone regeneration clinical practice. He has special interests in minimally invasive computer guided dental implant surgery and minimally invasive tissue grafting techniques. He lectures on topics related to dental implants and regenerative techniques.
Dr. Eric Olson, Prosthodontics
Dr. Olson has been a resident of the Jacksonville area since 1972, and is currently one of the very few prosthodontists in the Jacksonville area. He graduated from Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach. He received his undergraduate degree at Georgia Tech with a B.S. in the field of chemistry. Dr. Olson then went on to dental school at Emory University and graduated in 1983, continuing at Emory, he went on to complete a two year residency in prosthodontics, which is the only dental specialty recognized by the American Dental Association devoted to restoring and replacing teeth.
When Dr. Olson is not transforming patient smiles he enjoys spending time with his family. His wife, Holly, his daughter, and granddaughter enjoy watching him referee wrestling matches at local high schools. Dr. Olson has officiated at district, regional and state tournaments in the Jacksonville area.
Dr. Olson has been in private practice in 1985. He has been creating beautiful smiles in the Jacksonville area since then. With his extensive training and experience in restorative dentistry, as well as implant restorations, he can easily handle even the most complex cases.
Steve Wilson, Dental Lab Manager
Beginning in 1983, at Kaiser Dental Laboratory in Arlington Texas, Steve Wilson learned removable prosthetics with chairside duties from day one. Steve has acquired extensive experience in fixed, implant born and removable prosthetics through hard work and continued study over a 32 year long career, including a CDT in Crown and Bridge in 1994. He has managed laboratory projects for himself as well as established owners in Texas and in Florida.
Steve’s overwhelming motivation in the dental industry today is focused on assisting patients who find themselves sidetracked in the prevailing fast track dental prosthetics business model of so many dental practices. “Positive, life empowering dental recovery is available for everyone in our world today, I want to be part of it.”
